Thank you for your interest in the Air Cadet Program! We’re happy to have you here.

14 Aug 2025: Due to an incredible response over the summer, we have received over 100 new recruit applications. Unfortunately, we are capped at a maximum of 200 cadets (including returning cadets) and are no longer accepting applications for September 2025. At this time, your options are to:

  1. Check if neighbouring units (540 Air, 800 Air, 789 Air, 2824 Army, 105 Army or 186 Sea) are accepting new recruits at this time; or,

  2. Apply for the January 2026 waitlist here.

We host New Cadet Info sessions cadets twice per year, in September and January, however, we accept new cadets up until 31 March. After 31 March, prospective cadets will be directed to join for the following training year.

Our next New Cadet Info Session night will be in late-September at Iona Secondary School.

To enrol in the Air Cadet Program:

  • the prospective cadet must be no younger than 12 years old, but no older than 18 years old

  • must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or on a visa (must show proof at the time of enrolment)

  • have a valid Ontario health card

Parents/guardians/prospective cadets are also required to complete the following paperwork, and a staff member will follow up.
